A stranger's home, and nothing taken on trust.
You are walking into the home of somebody you have not met, and she is opening her door to you. Here is what is checked on both sides before that, what is not, and what you can do at every step.

Every family's ID checked
What is checked
Every family, before her home opens
Her passport or ID card and a selfie are checked by Didit, against the name she gave; she is 18 or over. Then a person at Homnna reads her registration, her photos and her answers before her home opens.
Every guest, at sign-up
You pass the same check, once, in about three minutes. A family sees her guest's pseudo, never a document, and Homnna keeps no copy. Her address goes to a checked guest, once they have chosen her.
A charter in every kitchen
Every family commits to the same short list of rules of hygiene and welcome before her home opens: nobody who is ill cooks or serves, no alcohol and no smoke at the table, a guest who is unwell is helped first.
Ratings, both ways
After the meal you rate it, and she rates her guests. Anything that went wrong can be reported from your table, and a person reads it. Homnna may pause a home while a report is looked into.
Nobody waits for you in the street
- Nobody stops you in the medina to take you to a family. You ask from your phone, and only families near you are asked.
- The price is agreed before anyone cooks, in the app, for the whole table. It is all you pay.
- You pay her yourself, in cash, at her table. A family may not press you to buy anything or to tip.
Somebody knows where you are
Share your table with a friend from the app: they see the day, the time, the area and when you arrive, never the address, until noon the day after. If they cannot reach you, they write to Homnna with the table's reference.
What Homnna does not check
Kitchens, food, allergens, the safety of a home, or anybody's past. The ID checks, the charter, the ratings and the reports lower the risk; they do not remove it. We visit some homes ourselves, to see how the rules hold, and a visit certifies nothing. Going to the home of somebody you do not know stays your own decision, as receiving you stays hers.
Your place at the table is one question away.
